NEW VENTILATION SYSTEM IN PLACE

We are pleased to confirm that Phase 1 of our Ventilation upgrade has been completed on schedule and WILL be up and running for the July 2021 shows.

Phase 1 - This included putting a new fresh air ventilation system in our Auditorium - over the past 6 weeks the team have worked tirelessly to get this system in and working to enable us to do what we can to keep you safe in our theatre.  We have literally begged and borrowed to be able to get this project off the ground so PLEASE if you can help support us by returning to 'LIVE' performances in our venue over the coming months and donate if you can - links for donating are on the website home page.

Phase 2 - Will include an added upgrade to our heating system which is under the stage and is scheduled to take place throughout August 2021 whilst we close to get everything ready for the start of our Autumn programme in September 2021.

We hope you agree this system will make a fabulous addition to our little theatre.

Thanks must go to local companies - H.H. Adkins Contractors and East Kirkby Engineering for making this happen.

Blackfriars undoubtedly plays a very important role as Boston's centre for entertainment and the arts. It is home to two very successful local amateur dramatic and operatic groups, as well as hosting a varied program of professional stage productions.
