There is still an opportunity for someone to join the team here at Blackfriars Theatre and Arts Centre. We require a Creative Director to head up our Arts Council NPO projects.  This is a 3 year fixed term contract with a view to extending subject to additional funding.

Purpose of the Job: to lead the artistic programme and the strategic development of the company in line with our new Arts Council NPO status.

The responsibilities for this role are vast, they include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing Business Plans and Budgets, providing inspirational leadership to deliver the artistic programme and visions, seeking out and nurturing collaborative partnerships, future planning, generate funding opportunities and working closely with the Board of trustees.  

Most importantly this person will be an ambassador and leading voice for Blackfriars in sector, social and political circles, promoting the organisation to a range of stakeholders, including audiences, participants, artists, donors, funders, businesses, local authorities and other public bodies and other leaders. Acting as a key Blackfriars spokesperson for the media as required and whilst not a key requirement, we’re keen to embrace the diverse culture that Boston has and are open to receiving applications from talented individuals who feel they can represent that.
