Oddsocks premiers the story of Florence Nightingale in their irreverent, hilarious style.

Oddsocks’ trademark performance style is entertaining, interactive and fast-moving, family theatre and “Florence” will be exactly that.

Much of the comedy will come from three actors’ hilarious attempts to wrestle Florence’s 90 years into just 90 minutes. The significance and far-reaching influence of Florence’s story will not be lost though as physical comedy, clever staging and audience participation combine to bring this 19th century powerhouse of a woman to life, in a way which has not been done before in touring theatre. Think “Horrible Histories, meets Muppet’s Christmas Carol meets Joan of Arc”. Poignancy and pathos mixed with laugh out loud comedy.
