Making Connections Exhibition

Making Connections Exhibition

Memory Lane

FREE ENTRY- Foyer Gallery open between 10am - 4pm Monday - Sat

This exhibition showcases work that has been created by people living with dementia and their carers, who attend the Memory Lane Creative Arts Dementia sessions on Wednesdays at Mayfields Extra Care Housing in Boston.

It gives visitors the opportunity to view and consider how creativity can bring people together and also benefit health and well being.

Artist Liz Pearson from The Glass Room has worked with the group over seven sessions using different mediums such as glass, clay and print.

This has been a very ‘hands on experience’ with the focus on, taking part and learning new techniques. The participants have been involved with each process from start to finish, including the mounting of work and setting up the exhibition.

The exhibition also offers information for local services available to people living with dementia and their carers

We hope you enjoy the exhibition as much as we enjoyed making it!

Blackfriars undoubtedly plays a very important role as Boston's centre for entertainment and the arts. It is home to two very successful local amateur dramatic and operatic groups, as well as hosting a varied program of professional stage productions.
